Glamorous Photo Considerations

Every year the Emmys roll around and you see all these glamorous photos of various celebrities. The thing is, the best ones, the most candid ones are usually at the parties. They are sitting around, having dinner and private moments and the images are truly real. This is something to think about when you are trying to create the “right” pose for photos or photo booths. You want to harness your inner sexy and bring it to the surface in a natural way. It isn’t all about what you wear but how you pose.

Use a Mirrorimage
It may sound crazy, but think about all those teenagers who take the best photos you have ever seen. It isn’t just the great skin without wrinkles but the sheer amount of time they spend staring in the mirror. They hone their poses through vamping in the glass or taking selfies. Find your best faces so you can instantly slip into the facial expression when a camera comes out. This saves time and stops the bad photos where you are changing faces at the last minute so you have one eye opened and one eye closed.

Check Your Clothesimage
If you are going somewhere photos are likely to be taken, make sure you check your outfit. What fit perfectly a week ago might be saggy or ill fitting today. Check the cut not only when you are standing but when you are sitting. You never know how you will be standing or sitting when a photo is snapped off and you want to put your best image forward. Consider slimming designs and cuts so that you look your best. That great loose tank top might look great on you, but it is going to add 20 pounds in a photo and you won’t be happy.

Choose Your Placeimage
Perspective is everything when it comes to photos. If you are the tallest or biggest in your group, don’t be in the front of the photo booth or toward the front of the photo. It isn’t that you are huge, but the camera will perceive it that way. Place yourself where you will look the best in relationship to everyone around you. If you know where you want to be you will be shocked at how perfect all your photos look.

Good Lightingimage
Those Emmy party photos look amazing because the lighting is perfect. There is a soft glow all around, so if you can control the look of where you are, do it. Soft, pretty lights are easy to achieve with LED twinkle lights hanging from trees, etc. Restaurants with this look or decorating parts of you patio that way will make the photos you take really shine. Of course, going to someone else’s party, just look around and choose the best lighting you have access to.

These are just a few tips to look like the stars. The work that goes into those seemingly candid photos is extensive. You will be shocked at what a difference a little planning makes. Your next photo booth session or girl’s trip will produce the best photos of you ever.
